Screen Printing and Heat Transfer

A cost-effective method of creating a uniform that is uniquely yours,  without going fully custom, is to use off-the-rack garments such as tees, hoodies, jackets and creating custom designs to be applied by screen printing or direct to garment transfers. It’s a win-win solution!

Both methods are great ways to get your logo onto a product without using embroidery.  And if you’re looking to create something bigger and more adventurous you can consider printing and entire graphic on a garment.  There are a couple of methods we recommend – one is screen printing; the other is direct to garment transfers. Let’s explore both methods and which one is best for your uniform needs.

Screen Prnting

Let's dive into this branding method!

This is one of the most popular and durable branding methods for branding garments.  This process involves applying ink directly onto the fabric through a fine mesh screen, which produces bold, well-defined graphics that hold up wash after wash. It is ideal for logos, slogans, and large graphic designs on tees, polos, and workwear.

Why Screen Print?

This method of printing and branding is perfect when you need strong, long-lasting graphics especially for larger runs or high-rotation garments. It’s cost-effective when the volume of prints is high and delivers intense colours with a clear finish. It’s a great option when embroidery isn’t the right fit, like on lightweight fabrics.  Also, when you want a bold, graphic statement this option is more effective especially which it comes to comparing costs with embroidery.

Customise Your Look

This is a clever way to make your uniforms pop. From bold company logos to creative  artwork and graphics, you can stamp your personality on garments and bring your brand to life.

Whether you position your graphic front and centre, across the back, down the side of your sleeve or something more subtle – the options are endless

DTF (Direct to Film Transfer)

Let's dive into this branding method!

DTF is a garment branding method where full-colour designs are printed onto film and then heat-transferred directly onto a fabric or garment. This method produces extremely vibrant, detailed artwork as the colour printing is done on film first rather than direct onto the fabric.  This is perfect for complex logos, gradients, and small text. The other bonus of this method is that it works on a wide range of fabrics and is a great option when you want colour and clarity.  Unlike screen printing, where the results works best on certain fabrics, DTFs can be transferred onto almost any garment or fabric.

Why DTF?

DTF is ideal when your design is so detailed and fine that it won’t translate well if  screen printing or doing embroidery. This method of printing captures colour depth, sharp lines, and fine detail—making it perfect for artwork and logos with varying shades, multiple colours, or detailed elements. It’s also an excellent choice for short runs or multi-location branding as you can create several similar graphics and then create smaller amounts of uniform items with different graphics. DTF is also durable, flexible, and visually strong.
