Winter Uniforms

Get in Touch

A winter uniform isn’t always about starting from scratch. There are smart ways, cost effective ways to adjust your current uniform to suit the colder months. It isn’t always necessary to reinvent the wheel.

Our strategy at TUE is to help you create a great, branded uniform look that will take you through the seasons, without breaking the budget. We want you to start thinking about adding warm pieces like cardigans, softshell jackets, or base layers underneath shirts, rather than creating a summer and a winter uniform. It’s about keeping your staff comfortable and consistent with your branding front and centre, while staying practical for the cooler weather allowing you to mix and match winter-friendly pieces.

Why Uniform Winter Layers Matter (especially in Australian Winters)?

When the cold weather sets in, having a solid winter uniform makes a big difference. We often see companies investing time and money in a great uniform, without giving thought to the changing seasons, mostly winter! If a uniform hasn’t been thought about as lasting all seasons, in the cooler days, team members feel the cold and grab any random jacket or cardigan from their wardrobe. And whilst their choices are mostly great, what we notice is inconsistency creep in. Logos become covered by unbranded jumpers and jackets, the colour palette changes with new colours being introduced, and overall, we get a slightly slopier, unbranded look. Overcoming this issue can be as simple as introducing a secondary, branded item of a jacket or jumper to layer on cooler days. We don’t need to re-create the entire look.

Here are more reasons why this strategy works:

  • Keeps everyone warm: No one wants to be cold and uncomfortable at work – it’s distracting and uncomfortable.
  • Look professional: Staying warm doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice style or brand consistency. A simple branded garment as an add-on is easy to do
  • Flexible layers: Your team can add or remove layers as needed throughout the day.

Key Winter Add-Ons – here’s what we recommend

Here are the staples we suggest adding to your existing uniform:
  • Jumpers & cardigans: Warm, soft, and perfect for layering.
  • Jackets & coats: From smart corporate styles to puffer jackets and vests, depending on your needs.
  • Long sleeve shirts & tops: Swap out short sleeves for long sleeves to keep the chill off.
  • Scarves & accessories: Branded scarves add warmth and a touch of style.
  • Base layers: Thin tees or tops worn under shirts for extra warmth without bulk.
